Gastronomy in Symbiosis
In 2014, we opened the doors of Cal Marquès, a project born from our passion for cooking and wine , with a strong commitment to the flavors and traditions of our territory. Our philosophy is based on cuisine rooted in the Camprodon Valley, a cuisine from Ripoll that is enriched with the influences of French border cuisine.
For us, the quality of local produce is very important and we offer dishes made with local and seasonal ingredients , prioritizing small producers and our own brands , such as our own lamb , which reflect the richness of our region. Thanks to the family project of a small flock of Ripollsa sheep , a native breed of our territory, we can dedicate part of our gastronomic offer to creating dishes with this product as the protagonist .
Our menu is neither conventional nor traditional, as we like to innovate and explore unique projects, but always based on Catalan cuisine and with a deep respect for what the land offers us. The symbiosis between local and seasonal produce and the experience of our team is what allows us to create dishes that not only nourish, but also explain a small part of the history of Catalonia .
This network of trust with the producers we know and admire translates into a cuisine that is a reflection of the territory , committed to its sustainability and its future.
THE SERVICES
This small project is also the life project.
We are Jordi Guitart and Cristina Castells and since 2014, after training and learning alongside great hospitality professionals, we decided to create a different gastronomic space in Camprodon, in Ripollès, our homeland.
Over time, we have consolidated a professional team that accompanies us in each service, bringing not only commitment to the project but also passion and love like the one we feel. Currently, the team is completed by Marc in the kitchen and pastry shop and Ahmed in the dining room.

The wine list , the perfect complement for a unique evening at our house.
Ours is not a conventional wine list. We are not conventional. We work with unique projects , from family wineries, some close and others more distant, united by a shared passion: the love of the land and wine. We have wines of many styles, from ancestral and typical varieties of each area with sustainable and low-intervention agriculture to some classic wines from different regions.
Our menu aims to awaken curiosity and the pleasure of discovering wines to accompany our cuisine.
